NOAA Contributions to USGCRP Product Development

The U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) Strategic Plan calls for the creation of 21 climate-related synthesis and assessment reports, and one unifying overview report called "Global Climate Change Impacts in the United States." Listed below are links to those reports that were led by NOAA. For more information, see Information on Synthesis and Assessment Products: Summary Information (USGCRP; formerly "US CCSP").

Global Climate Change Impacts in the United States, led by NOAA

Synthesis and Assessment Products (SAP) led by NOAA

1.1 - Temperature trends in the lower atmosphere -- steps for understanding and reconciling differences | Final Report

1.3 - Re-analyses of historical climate data for key atmospheric features. Implications for attribution of causes of observed change

2.2 - North American carbon budget and implications for the global carbon cycle

2.4 - Trends in emissions of ozone-depleting substances, ozone layer recovery, and implications for ultraviolet radiation exposure and climate change

3.2 - Climate Projections Based on Emissions Scenarios for Long-Lived and Short-lived Radiatively Active Gases and Aerosols

3.3 - Weather and Climate Extremes in a Changing Climate

5.2 - Best practice approaches for characterizing, communicating, and incorporating scientific uncertainty in decisionmaking

5.3 - Decision Support Experiments and Evaluations Using Seasonal to Interannual Forecasts and Observational Data: A Focus on Water Resources
