Listed below is a preliminary list of data and services important to the understanding of climate. Additional topics will be added in the near future.
Climate of 2005
Climate-At-A-Glance - Search 108 years of archived weather data for the United States from the NOAA Satellite and Information Services.
Climate Data - Observed data and climatological norms.
Climate Monitoring - National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) Reports and Products.
Climatic Outlooks
Climate Visualization - NCDC provides an interactive graphing tool designed to allow visual browsing of the data available online.
Drought Termination and Amelioration - NOAA/NCDC calculates how much precipitation it will take to end droughts across the USA.
Global Climate Change - NCDC provides events, reports, publications, etc.

Tropical Atmosphere Ocean Project (TAO) - Real-time data from moored ocean buoys for improved detection, understanding and prediction of El Niño and La Niña.
U.S. Drought Assessment - On each Thursday, the NOAA Climate Prediction Center, together with the United States Department of Agriculture, the National Drought Mitigation Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the NOAA NCDC issues a weekly drought assessment called the United States Drought Monitor. The monitor provides a consolidated depiction of national drought conditions based on a combination of drought indicators and field reports. The CPC issues the Seasonal United States Drought Outlook each month in conjunction with the Thursday release of the long-lead temperature and precipitation outlooks near the middle of the month.
U.S. Historical Climatology Network - high-quality moderate sized data set of monthly averaged maximum, minimum and mean temperature and total monthly precipitation developed to assist in the detection of regional climate change. The USHCN is comprised of 1,221 high-quality stations from the U.S. Cooperative Observing Network within the 48 contiguous United States.
Weather Observation Stations - The NCDC provides station data by latitude, longitude, city, and county.
