In the face of long-term drought, Southwestern communities and economies are facing new and emerging challenges in ensuring adequate water supply to meet their needs. This new video launched by the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS), presented at the 2021 Southwest Drought Forum, includes interviews with people whose livelihoods are impacted by the drought. Further, the video discusses how rising temperatures are bringing aridification and a “new normal” to the region.
