This webinar was the second in a series that explores science and research topics relevant to the “Managing Water Resources Along the Coast” community of practice.

Called a story map, the interactive tool provides a background on stormwater and wastewater services for decision makers, scientists, and others working with or providing climate information and data for water utilities.

Participants identified rising ocean temperatures, ocean acidification, deoxygenation, harmful algal blooms, extreme events, and the ability to predict and project these changes at scales meaningful to sanctuaries as the most pressing needs.

The chapter walks readers through an overview of amplified warming in the Arctic, discussing a variety of processes in the climate system contributing to the warming.

Researchers funded by CPO's Climate and Societal Interactions (CSI) Division utilize partnerships and engagement activities to develop knowledge and decision support tools that can better address the risk management needs of specific sectors and stakeholders.
