New Maps & Data section on Climate.gov offers easy-to-understand maps and entry-level information on climate data

People who are interested in climate have a new source of maps and data on NOAA Climate.gov. The recently updated page at Climate.gov/maps-data offers easy-to-understand climate maps, a visual catalog of popular climate products, and instructional pages that cover the fundamentals of measuring climate variables and processing and using climate data.

Today, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate.gov team released Climate Challenge, a new educational online game that invites players to learn more about climate science and to test their knowledge.

In 2014, NOAA’s Climate Program Office, led by Director Wayne Higgins, went through the process of rearticulating its mission, vision, and unique value through the development of the CPO Strategic Plan. The office also made major progress on an Implementation Plan that provides a roadmap to achieving important outcomes in climate science.
